April 09, 20252 min read

Here is Part 3, the finale of our Confidence building series. In this segment we will cover our last two powerful tools useful for growing responsibility and leading by example.

👉 Parents, you are one of the main sources of your child's sense of self-worth. We know you will enjoy Part 3 of this easy to follow guide to improving their confidence.

5. GIVE THEM RESPONSIBILITIES.

By giving your child household duties or responsibilities, it’s both beneficial for you and them. Remember… if you call them chores, that has a very different psychological effect than calling them responsibilities. Learning to contribute for the benefit of everyone in the house is a powerful lesson to learn at an early age. Having responsibilities will help them feel more valuable and helps put their energy into more constructive, desirable behavior.

.

Here are a few examples of simple responsibilities your child can handle. They can make their bed, put the dishes in the dishwasher, dust simple tables, wipe the counter, take out the trash, or help around the yard, etc. Each and every time it is important to make them feel valuable for their effort by thanking them each time. This appreciation goes a long way and models the gratitude you would love to see in them.
.

👉 Remind them that their help around the house is appreciated and it is a shared responsibility of everyone who lives there.

6. REMEMBER TO WORK ON YOUR CONFIDENCE!

This is probably the most important step of all for parents. Remembering about yourself. If you have low self-confidence do everything you can to heal yourself. “The Let Them Theory” by author Mel Robbins is a good place to start.

.

Remember, you are the closest role model your children have. Showing them your efforts to improve is a clear way set the example of the qualities you desire them to have. If you become strong stronger and more confident, your children will also look up to you (even if they don't tell you)!

.

👉 If you made it this far, CONGRATS and thank you for being part of our Ultimate Community! This helps them form the “I Can” attitude which is a big step towards personal belief.

See you then...
